About
Hi y’all, I'm Abbie
I'm a registered dietitian who believes you don't have to choose between your faith and freedom with food.
I’m Abbie Frye, MS, RDN, LDN, CIEC—a registered dietitian, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, author, and founder of Your Daily Bread Co.
I have a Master's degree in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology from Columbia University and have spent more than ten years counseling women around the world.
But my passion for this work isn't just professional.
I've been where you are.
I grew up dancing ballet and experienced firsthand the pressure of diet culture, fear of weight gain, body image struggles, and compensatory exercise.
I became caught in the cycle of trying to achieve health through more discipline, more restriction, and more control.
And eventually, I learned that weight loss couldn't give me what I was actually looking for.
It couldn't give me peace.
It couldn't give me confidence.
It couldn't tell me who I was.
Jesus could.
As my relationship with Jesus deepened, He began changing the way I understood my body, food, health, and ultimately my identity.
I began to understand that my worth wasn't determined by my weight, my appearance, my discipline, or how "healthy" I could be.
My worth was already settled in Christ.
And I began asking a different question:
What if caring for my body wasn't about controlling it — but stewarding it?
That question changed everything.
And that's why Your Daily Bread Co. exists.
I believe Christian women deserve nutrition care that doesn't force them to choose between science and Scripture.
That's why Your Daily Bread Co. combines evidence-based nutrition counseling with biblical truth to help women heal their relationship with food and their bodies.
We don't believe that eating "healthier" makes you holier.
We don't believe your body needs to be punished into submission.
We don't believe food should consume your thoughts.
And we don't believe God is asking you to spend your life chasing a smaller body.
We believe there is freedom in Christ — even at the table.
What We Believe
Jesus is our source of freedom.
We don't believe lasting peace with food comes from more rules, restriction, or striving. We believe true freedom is found in Christ.
Science and Scripture don't have to compete.
Evidence-based nutrition and biblical truth can work together to help you make wise, individualized decisions about your health.
Your body isn't a problem to fix.
Your body is God's creation. We believe in caring for it with gratitude and compassion rather than shame, punishment, or obsession.
Stewardship isn't the same as shrinking.
Caring for your health isn't about becoming the smallest version of yourself. It's about stewarding what God has entrusted to you for the calling He has placed on your life.
Food is not your master.
We want to help you move from fear, guilt, and obsession toward peace, flexibility, nourishment, and freedom.
Grace changes everything.
You don't have to achieve perfect health to be worthy of love, and you don't have to earn God's approval through your eating or exercise.
